Spams having been sent from forums.debian.net

#1 Post by Jeroen »

I'm sorry spams seem to have gotten send via forums.debian.net. I've currently blocked all outgoing mail, and investigating the issue -- the problem is very likely the security hole in phpbb 2.0.12

Sorry for the inconvenience, only a limited number of people got them, I got around to block most of it in time.

Hole is closed, forums.debian.net upgraded to 2.0.13, and a new package on the way to debian unstable too.

The timing of the hole was unfortunate (I was in Brussel at FOSDEM), so I failed to take as prompt action as would have otherwise like to have done.

Thank you for your understanding,
Jeroen

Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity.

How ironic, spam in a anti-spam topic ;)

I made a suggestion in Forum Discussion area.
