{SOLVED} Boot black screen after kernel upgrade

#1 Post by salclem2 »

Hi all,
I'm using Plymouth in Debian 11, with a grub menu and a splash grub image. All this stuff is working but the screen remain black after boot grub splash processed, ending with the login screen. If you press ESC two times, the plymouth splash image appears for some fraction of seconds. Then the plymouth splash is hidden. This issue began to present since when I have upgraded the kernel from 5.10.0-13-amd64 to 5.10.0-14-amd64. In fact, if I boot the previous kernel in grub menu, the plymouth splash is still working well. Can someone understand this issue and suggest me some possible solution. Many thanks in advance.
