Why no SSL

#1 Post by Fedora »

Hello,

I am just curious why the forum dose not use SSL/TSL. I was very surprised to not see a green padlock when I was signing up.

If the OP had bothered to search the forum a little they would have seen several topics all ready exist on this same subject, but they didn't. I suggest merging this with one of the all ready existing threads, where it is answered.
thanks

SSL is wrong because is causes trouble for people running Debian 1.1 on computers inherited from their grandparents, not to mention those with dialups and a monthly quota of 10 megabytes.

Please see: http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=135067
or http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=118960

or one of the others.

Although there is no reasonable response given to the OP's question, IMO.
