Printing Passport Photos in linux

Printing Passport Photos (Photoscape wine)

Installing Photoscape 3.7
1- Automatic Installation.
sudo snap install photoscape

2- Installing manually Photoscape, Requirements:
- photoscape3.7.EXE (http://www.photoscape.org/ps/main/download.php?lc=en)
- Playonlinux (wine 3.4 + .Net components, installed automatically by wizard wine)

3- Then we go to Printing option/tab, select layout, import pictures, and configure printing for a PDF exported out.

4- Import pdf with gimp and select autocut image, and we have finall result, like this. ; ready to take to photo store for revealing. :o

Addons-> Images-> Wizard/Assitant Printing

Using Gimp Photo Editor
1. Scale image to wished size -> Filters , Add border
1.1 Repeat scale operation to fix added border size to image
1.2 merge resulting layouts (Caps-> Combine downguards)

2. Create a page to fill with photo pattern.
2.1 fill using image pattern created:
Choose Fill tool:
> Fill with pattern (pick clipboard image copied)
> Fill full space completly

Thanks! That's almost as convenient as going to the corner drugstore and having a passport photo taken :)

You might want to use back some older photos you kept in your computer..last time you scanned it.. or you might want to apply some edition filters previously to send to an online rebealing service..so you keep yourself as beautifull and young as ever :lol: .. or you dont feel like going out to store due to scary covid and prefer they send you back your rebealed photos by postman sender... i did that this week and i guess tomorrow a postman sender call to my door.. I made two sheets with 8 photos each one and, everything by 10 € ..the more expensive are Shipping costs (4,5€), or perhaps not, depending on your point of view..

Wow, some countries still need hard copies of passport photos?! It's all digital here now. Photo taken at the agency where you submit your passport application which is also digital.
