I got my old HP compaq nc6000 laptop. I tried different distros none of them run from USB including Debian except openSUSE-Tumbleweed-XFCE-Live-i686-Snapshot20210118-Media.iso but with terrible lags. After that I burned DVD with:
https://caesar.ftp.acc.umu.se/debian-cd ... etinst.iso
It launched and successfully installed Debian. I decided to reinstall it cause I had not internet at the first time. Now the installation from the same DVD freezes at the language select section.
http://ftp.nl.debian.org/debian/dists/b ... t/mini.iso gives the same result.
Please advice something!
Thank you and sorry for my English.

How much RAM have you got? That laptop came with 512 Mb and can go to a maximum of 2Gb.
What Desktop Environment or Windows Manager are you trying to install?
