Graphic card driver issue with USB re-installation.
Graphic card driver issue with USB re-installation.
I've made a mess with Debian while trying to reinstall graphic card driver. Indeed I've installed from AMD site the correct .run file, but clearly I made something wrong and after rebooting, a corrupted screen (and then immediately a black screen) appears right before the log in screen. I don't know what to do. I've spent 5 wonderful years with Debian overcoming many problems but this latter seems to be overwhelming to me. Maybe I've post in the wrong section, but even when I try to reinstall it with USB boot the same problem occurs. I've tried to boot also in the available recovery modes and even adding/replacing "nomodeset" but without succeeding... I hope you can help me or you can tell me where I can find any help. Thanks in advance.

Try the install with a non-free cd. Your card will need firmware-amd-graphics
