HTTPS-Only Mode in Firefox

#1 Post by argentwolf »

With this update I discovered I no longer need the Firefox Browser Add-On 'HTTPS Everywhere', it seems to be working well. Anyone having issues with this Mode?

  • "Starting in Firefox version 83, you can change your preferences to HTTPS-Only Mode."

In Chromium 97.0, under
Settings-->Security-->Advanced there's a similar setting too:
Always use secure connections
Upgrade navigations to HTTPS and warn you before loading sites that don't support it.
Without using webext-https-everywhere for either firefox-esr or chromium.
DebianStable

Code: Select all

$ vrms

No non-free or contrib packages installed on debian! rms would be proud.

FWIW and because I know it's a big deal, I went looking, and found this. Huh!

I noticed it, but didn't turn it on. I have now. Thanks for the push. I will report any issues.
