Hello community,
I have a Debian 8 with Postgresql 9.4 server. I would like to upgrade it to the last version (Debian 11 with Postgresql 14). What would be the best practice? I was thinking of these two options:
- upgrading the server or
- creating a new server and migrating (if possible) the database
Which one would you recommend?
Let me know if you need more info.
Thank you!
Alex

Upgrading needs to go 8-9-10-11.
That's a lot of upgrades.
Quicker and easier is fresh install and import data
