This may have been asked so I apologize for bringing this up again.
When initially installing and you opt for LVM and encryption, is there a way to bypass the writing of the 1 and 0 before the actual process continues.
I'm trying to eliminate the up to 3 hours of waiting if its not entirely needed.
I know you can cancel that process and I see that it will prompt for a password but never went beyond that point.

Yes, you can skip it, but I think only after the process has started. The encryption will be a little easier to break (lower entropy, that's what it said). You'll still get LVM with encryption.
