I want to put Debian 11 on an Oracle VM inside Windows 11 Pro. Now I'm a little bit confused on how to do this. Here are my choices: #1: Install BalenaEtcher and then make a bootable USB stick using debian-11.4.0-amd64-netinst.iso and then load that into the VM, or #2: do I just download the debian-11.4.-amd64-netinst.iso and us it that way?
Thanks

You can download the netinst.iso and use it in the VM as a virtual CDtimlab55 wrote: ↑2022-08-18 14:26 I want to put Debian 11 on an Oracle VM inside Windows 11 Pro. Re: Which Way Do I Go
Do NOT install any Linux inside Windows. It will be as insecure as Windows is if you do that. Give Linux its own VM.
Re: Which Way Do I Go
Hey Bloom I would do dual booting on my windows machine, but I have to watch my core temps as this machine loves to hit the high numbers. Got any suggestions on how to keep it at least a bit more secure?
Thanks
