I tried to validate debian-live-11.5.0-i386-standard+nonfree.iso onto Virtualbox by checking the integrity and when I executed it I received a message that "no valid Debian media installation media"
The SHA256: 8649ad511f913f27c888edfb5ee2fae40976d9c2b3cd7ad08b94a37edb435f9f
This hash matches https://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/unof ... SHA256SUMS
hash and since it is a virtual machine running the file it should of validated. I have done it 3 times and every time I ask Debian to verify the file it fails.
Is the package correctly configured to validate the installed ISO ?

Re: debian-live-11.5.0-i386-standard+nonfree.iso not valid
If the hash matches and the integrity check fails, it is probably something wrong with the integrity check itself.

Re: debian-live-11.5.0-i386-standard+nonfree.iso not valid
The hash matches (did you check) and since it is on the same local machine that suggest a problem with the integrity check. More importantly I have to ask why Debian hides the integrity check so it is visible after starting to install?
Re: debian-live-11.5.0-i386-standard+nonfree.iso not valid
I tried debian-live-11.5.0.i386-xfce-nonfree.iso with a
sha256 of 7a6f7baba138694cc05a7946c36d01543e53c7fbad71190ee732c43e7b08b257
You must click "go back" to see the option for integrity check.
It also failed in Virtualbox to perform a media integrity check. There is no fault with the file and it is installed from the same machine using Virtualbox.

Hello
(I use qemu/kvm virtualisation)
After click on Graphic Debian Installer
I didn't click on the Go Back button
I just open the second console by Ctrl+Alt+F2
and then I press the Enter key to activate a ash shell.
In that shell, I just enter the following command line :
After that, I can enter exit
and go back to the installation program by Alt+F5

Re: debian-live-11.5.0-i386-standard+nonfree.iso not valid
No. that is only the sha256 hash which I validated on my workstation.
this is what I mean when I say that the integrity check is hidden. Debian has its own app that checks the integrity of all the software on the installed media. that is what you have not performed.

compis3, that is a wild set of screen captures. Thankfully, I have never run into that. I have no words to even attempt to come up with something.

No, live images lack the hashsum file required to verify the files.
