As some of you may already know Red Hat has killed off CentOS:

^ That's their corporate bullshit site, see https://centos.rip/ for a more accurate take of the situation.
So all of the enterprise users will now be looking elsewhere for a stable distribution:

Expect an upsurge of newcomers to APT wondering how to make it work. Be nice.
And yes golinux, you did tell us so

I think it's safe to say that Debian has a better track record

It's not a 'bullshit site' - RedHat have clearly expressed the intention and reasons for taking this decision:Head_on_a_Stick wrote:As some of you may already know Red Hat has killed off CentOS:

Translation to English:(...) Facebook runs millions of servers supporting its vast global social network, all of which have been migrated (or are migrating) to an operating system they derive from CentOS Stream. While Facebook continues to drive internal innovation on CentOS Stream, the company has recognized the value in collaborating within the Red Hat ecosystem to further push their platform’s capabilities.
RedHat have realized that Facepalm, just like the Oracle(*) is using RedHat's CentOS for their servers, and they are not going to buy worthless hotline services from RedHat.
To stop that "internal innovation" of CeontOS made by Facepalm, RedHat needs to kill the CentOS - it's that simple ...
(*) Oracle in the past have stolen the RedHat's RHEL, and now they are selling they own OS, claiming that it is optimized for DataBases, what of course is a not-so-cheap lie dedicated for stupid people, who don't know what's going on.
Bill Gates: "(...) In my case, I went to the garbage cans at the Computer Science Center and I fished out listings of their operating system."
