Debian - Installer Branding

#1 Post by pepperdeb »

Hello forums,

I have been reading a lot of documentation however I don't seem to understand where to set the branding on Debian-Installer GUI

For example I have used the live-build tools to spin my own derivative and everything has worked as expected, furthermore I followed these guidelines listed here:
https://wiki.debian.org/Derivatives/Guidelines
but in this section I am not really sure I understand it completely.
debian-installer

package root/build/boot/x86/ (branding, references to 'Debian on all the fnumber screens')
package root/build/config/local (override various strings)

Basically when you run the GUI install for Debian. the top logo banner, I am trying to determine how to change that to something else

Thank you in advance for any guidance on this subject.
