I check in on the LXQT progress once in a while and the TODO list would make it seem like they are close

The big blocker is lack of standards for some things. Issue #10 was opened in 2014 and still going, same complaint early on as now about not wanting to build their own compositor and not wanting to do things in ways that are specific to a compositor or group of compositors that doesn't work with a bunch of other compositors.

LXQT is my main desktop, but Gnome wayland and Plasma wayland sessions work fine for me. I actually uninstalled kwin_x11 so the plasma wayland session is the only KDE session on my laptop, I haven't got rid of in on my desktop system yet.
Scheduled Maintenance: We are aware of an issue with Google, AOL, and Yahoo services as email providers which are blocking new registrations. We are trying to fix the issue and we have several internal and external support tickets in process to resolve the issue. Please see: viewtopic.php?t=158230
