Re: What does your non-Debian desktop look like?
Ever take a stab at KDE or anything besides Gnome?
Ever try a different icon theme (theme, not color)?
Ever try showing apps other than vlc?
Ever try different window placement?
Just a thought.

smh, first of all, Bodhi uses E-17, second of all, you mean this KDE?Mr James wrote:Ever take a stab at KDE or anything besides Gnome?

oops, I forgot the debian -based KDE...
and let's not forget PCLinuxOS KDE...
and yes, I have and do use in no particular order, Awesome WM, IceWM, LXDE, XFCE, KDE, Gnome, Openbox, Fluxbox, E-17, not to mention MacOS "everything they ever made", WIndows XP, Vista, and Windows 7. And I am sorry you couldn't tell there were different icon themes used. Although I do tend to have a few favorites. As far as showing apps. I pick VLC often because it is small and doesn't hide details of the wallpaper.

Nice, loukingjr. The KDE black\white icon theme is pretty neat. Link?

I don't have a link. I just got them straight from the "get icons" thing in the appearance settings.
they are called Iceglass I believe. they begin with "Ice" for sure.

They basically get the icons automatically from http://www.kde-look.org and install them for you.loukingjr wrote:oh sure, now you like me...Mr James wrote:Nice, loukingjr. The KDE black\white icon theme is pretty neat. Link?
