If this is everything and the packages are installed, where are they? -- any instruction to follow 'how' to do with snap?.
scidvspc-hkvc
Thank you very much for your help!
EDIT: After reboot i found Brave, but nothing about youtube-dl-gui (at least not on this name) neither about scid ...
It looks like everything is there but i don't know who to find ...
Am pleased to help. I play chess too!
I didn't notice that it was youtube-dl-pro so the previous command didn't work unless you install it via the snapstore.
On my mate desktop they all appear under "Applications." I don't know why the chess app, youtube-dl-pro & the snapstore don't appear in XFCE after running the commands.
If you want them in the official Debian repos, you should file a bug report for the program as a "WTP" (want the package?).
Remember that Debian has a strict policy about what packages can be added to the main repo--read the Debian Free Software Guidelines.
I really have major doubts about Brave--is it even FLOSS? The best we've done for MX Linux's bespoke Package Installer is just make it a point and click install to get the deb from the devs, at your own risk. Though Pale Moon is FLOSS, there are developer restrictions on its name that would require a Debian packager to rename the browser if they followed policy to build it from source--something like "New Moon" or "Ice Moon".
Users also need to be aware that snaps and flatpacks are simply ginormous compared to the standard repo packages, and there are many cheaper devices out there with not a lot of space on their drives

Where is that site? Can a user without any technical knowledge fill out such a report?
I do not see anything added into the repositories it seems that Snap has an independence from them.
I am not an expert, not even an advanced user.
