Cannot open display
I installed Debian 11 AMD64 and when i go to the terminal and want to edit some files i get cannot open display. I use Mate and with Gnome dsktop the same problem. How to fix this xhost + doesn t work is there a fix for this.

You need to explain better. I'm guessing you want to open a GUI editor from terminal to edit files owned by root? I think that has been made difficult or impossible in recent GTK desktops. (maybe wrong, I don't use GTK desktops)
You should be able to edit root files with nano in a terminal.
