You could use Lutris it might be the easiest but I can help you it's not that hard.

I don't play EVE so I can't comment further but according to your output the first cd command worked. Notice your prompt. It shows your current directory. ~ = your /home/"$USER". In this case the prompt is telling you that you are already in /home/p@p/evelauncher. Unless there is a directory there also named evelauncher then of course it can't cd to it.

I'm assuming there is no reason to cd into it again? May be a typo in the guide if it says that specifically.
