postfix + dovecot + thunderbird in travel

#1 Post by kmchen »

Hi everybody,
I have a debian server with postfix / dovecot that works well until I travel and change of IP. Then I get the message :
auth: pam_unix(dovecot:auth): authentication failure; logname= uid=0 euid=0 tty=dovecot ruser=inf@xdomain.com rhost=my.travel.new.ip
I read many forums and docs like https://www.debian-fr.org/t/postfix-dov ... sasl/86617 but I must confess that I'm unable and fade up to follow these convoluted configurations that become more complicated each year with the help of ours friends the hackers.

So if some one would give me a workin configuration I would be extremely gratefull and hope it might help come others like me.

My own unworkin conf is joined with that post in case if some kind and competent reader would point out where I felt.

I'm not a network specialist, just someone who tries to defend the right to have his own little mail server without falling in the cup of gmail and others
My conf thunderbird is:
STARTTLS
normal password
Regards
