Hello,
It seems that the KDE directory comparison software Komparator4 is not available on Debian 10?
Is it obsolete? Is there another soft to replace it?
best

I see a package called kompare in the Debian repos.
It is version 4:18.08.1-1 in Debian Stable.

Thanks for your answer,
I know that software (kompare) too. Unfortunately it is not the same as komparator4, nor a replacement for it.
thanks anyway

Re: Komparator4 in Debian 10
I remember Komparator, it was quite good for finding duplicates and syncing directories interactively. Shame it never got updated for Plasma5.
Meld and FSlint both do some of that, and are in repos. dupeGuru is good for dupe finding although not in the repos there's a packaged Buster-compatible version available from MX-19 repos - http://mxrepo.com/MX19packages.html
If you just want to sync directories, something based on rsync as suggested by Bloom would be good.

I use Syncthing and it's great for automatic syncing, but doesn't really have the same purpose Komparator had.Bloom wrote:I forgot one: SyncThing is also quite good.
