hpsa driver - suspend or hybernation support - hp smart array p410

#1 Post by motosigaro »

Hello, on my main workstation i'm using an hp smart array p410 to be able to use some cheap, big and quite fast sas drives.
Not using a raid setup.
So, they work perfectly with windows and any linux distro I tried.
The issue I have , with linux, is that I cannot find a way to make the pc sleeping or hybernating : this seems related to the hpsa driver for linux, that seems designed for servers, and I guess that servers are not supposed to sleep.
With windows, The pc can't sleep , but can hybernate without problems.
Any trick - workaround to force the pc to sleep using this card?
Thanks
