Q: Raspberry Pi 3 / Debian 11 / EDID file location

#1 Post by macguru »

Hi,

I have installed Bullseye on Raspberry Pi 3, and in order to get x0vncserver to work fine at proper resolution with no monitor attached need to specify EDID file in user-defined config.txt. What is proper location of this EDID file on Bullseye/Pi?
Is this
/boot
/boot/efi
/boot/efi/firmware
/etc/default/

Unlike Raspbian, config.txt now split in 3 separate ones if I understood internals correctly.
# Generated automatically. Triggered via dpkg-reconfigure raspi-firmware
/boot/firmware/config.txt
# Standard common settings.
/etc/default/raspi-firmware
# Custom settings.
/etc/default/raspi-firmware-custom

Thanks in advance.
Andrei
