Norway is now on my destination list.
It looks like a beautiful place to live. I would love to wake up every morning and look at those mountains. How many people live in the town? is there room for one more?

The nature is fantastic. It is truly a great place to hike or climb summits. This is from a trip in the same area a few years ago.
There are about 7.700 people living there, mostly living from agriculture and industry (for instance producing Stressless recliners), but Ålesund is a mere 30 km away with about 50.000 people.
This must be your lucky day. I moved to the south, so that means there is room for one more. Welcome!

I have never been to New York, but from what I have seen on TV, it does strike me as particularly stressful. One of the locally produces leather sofas are named Manhattan, by the way. I have two of them myself.
If you are planning a trip in the future, and you have questions, feel free to send me a PM.

You don't need connman or dhclient to connect wirelessly and iwd is slightly lighter than wpa_supplicant (and has no dependencies apart from libreadline0) and includes it's own dhcp client.
EDIT: back on topic with my GNOME desktop:
I've mounted ~/extend to tmpfs, music files are copied there before playing for the best possible sound quality.

Pretty useful for my 6 years old ThinkPad X230.
Bad news for you, Addy. The vaapi patch for chromium is disabled in Buster. So you're not going to get it with that version...how to check this? If the video_decoder value is MojoVideoDecoder (previously it was GpuVideoDecoder, but now the Chromium builds use MojoVideoDecoder on Linux) it means that the video that's currently playing on YouTube in the other tab is using hardware-accelerated video decoding. If it says FFmpegVideoDecoder (it says in your picture) or VpxVideoDecoder, accelerated video decoding is not working. Here proof:
Debian 10 on HP ProBook 450 G1 with secure boot enabled. Plays very nice. I had no problems with the installation. Everything works out of the box (touchpad, wifi, bluetooth etc.)

Aww
I read it somewhere that Chromium on Debian support hardware acceleration
