Why did Debian installer change my GPT from protective MBR to hybrid?

Can you post evidence ? That woud be surprising, AFAIK libparted which partman, the Debian installer partitioner, relies on does not support hybrid MBR. The first (and last) time I used parted to edit a GPT partition table which had a hybrid MBR, it silently overwrote it with a standard protective MBR.
