In the thread about Firefox, two moderators recommended binaries by an anon that goes by the handle "nanotube".

While I'm grateful for their trying to help, these binary blobs may or may not contain hidden malware. Some packages in the pip repo, downloaded by thousands, contained malware, so these things do happen.
Even my 8-year-old knows not to run untrusted code. So I think the moderators' suggestion shows rather poor judgement.

Re: Irresponsible advice
Speaking of things that would be apparent to an 8-year old, I'm going to review and look at the forum guidelines concerning trolling and threads of this nature. I'll review them for 30 minutes, while you review them for the next 30 days with your log-in banned until then. Before your ban expires I'd suggest reviewing the guidelines: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=149781maxb wrote: ↑2021-11-21 18:20 In the thread about Firefox, two moderators recommended binaries by an anon that goes by the handle "nanotube".

Typo perfectionish.
