dpkg daily cron job - /etc/cron.daily/dpkg - do we still need that?

#1 Post by Alx84 »

Hello guys. Wanted to raise a theoretical question - if this job is really something that needs to be shipped as integral part of "dpkg" package? Are there any tools in dpkg package which make any use of those backups, job is producing to /var/backups?

This seems like part of the same question you asked in your other topic, and was answered there iirc.
“ computer users can be divided into 2 categories:
Those who have lost data
...and those who have not lost data YET ”
