Hi,
Is there anyway I can edit the mate menu? A GUI front end for it would be great if anyone knows one?
AND why does the Mate men look so different in Debian as opposed to say Linux Mint?

{Solved} How can I edit the MATE menu
Re: How can I edit the MATE menu
MATE uses 3 different menu systems. More recently there's Brisk Menu, plus the old Classic Menu and Compact Menu.
Brisk seems to be a bit of a look alike for the XFCE Whisker menu - but lacks all the configuration options in Whisker.
Sorry - but I don't use Ubuntu based systems so cannot comment on the Mint Menus but I know they do roll a lot of their own stuff.
As to editing - I have always been a bit nervous of editing MATE menus after a total mess up a couple of years back. However Menulibre does the trick for simple stuff on the NON-Brisk menus.

Re: How can I edit the MATE menu
I did try MenuLibre, and it did start messing up my menu. It stared to create duplicate/triplicate entries in various "category". SO I got rid of it and installed Mozo and I fixed the menu's and configure them the way I like (so far).
So yah Mozo it is :-0
