Hi,
after years of using Debian for the first time I noticed the following behaviour.
Copying files to a pen drive is very slow. The status winow will just be stuck for minutes showing the exact same percentage and time. This is definitely new.
I tried various different usb flash drives. I also tried a regular HDD for comparison. This one works totally as expected and as flash drives were working previously so far.
I found a few articles where it said this is a problem of the Linux kernel from what I understand. But I don't know if this is accurate. Especially because most of this is quite dated. I suppose if there were issues they were resolved in the meantime.
