Hey,
I got a problem with my X11 Configuration.
X11 does break my settings "randomly" and my monitors look like on the pictures below. If I change my settings in nvidia-settings (with root previleges) and save it to /etc/X11/xorg.conf it will work again. If I restart my PC it does work fine. But if i turn of my PC and turn it on it is broken again. Not sure why there is a difference at all.
On the pictures below you can see how it is supposed to look and how it looks if the problem appears.
Also I have to restart in recoverymode when this problem occurs to delete the xorg.conf file, because the mouse pointer is shown on the wrong position while I have this problem.
Not sure if it is related to this problem but if I click on an icon on the taskbar right, the menu opens to far on the left like shown on the picture.
If you got any questions just ask!

Re: X11 breaks my Multi Monitor Setup
Hello,
It would be useful to collect and compare X server logs before and after the issue occurs. These logs are usually in /var/log/ or in /.local/share/xorg/ .marcel58095 wrote: ↑2023-02-08 22:33 X11 does break my settings "randomly" and my monitors look like on the pictures below. If I change my settings in nvidia-settings (with root previleges) and save it to /etc/X11/xorg.conf it will work again. Do you mean after suspension to ram or suspension to disk ?marcel58095 wrote: ↑2023-02-08 22:33 If I restart my PC it does work fine. But if i turn of my PC and turn it on it is broken again. Not sure why there is a difference at all.

Re: X11 breaks my Multi Monitor Setup
I haven't seen something suspicious in the logs. But I will have a look again later.
And no, if I restart the PC (with sudo reboot), what should be the same like turning it off and on again everything works just fine. But if I shut down the pc (with sudo shutdown) and turn it on again it's broken again.
I just read something that this could be a bug in KDE Plasma 5.25.
Should be fixed in 5.27.
Hopefully it will realease quickly in Debian Testing.

Yeah, that's really weird.
On KDE 5.20 I haven't had this problem.
The reference is the following:

Its not exactly my problem but my problem is similar.
