[Discussion] Best threads of the week....
Over the past few months there have been here some absolutely amazing threads filled with knowledge and tidbits that get overlooked.
I was thinking perhaps we could highlight some of those threads with a weekly digest? Essentially a weekly sticky thread linking to the "Best of" for the week.
Thoughts?

Never been a fan of sticky threads but if there is an easy way to index and archive them that does not take up top-post space in the thread list then I"m all for it.

If there are useful titbits and knowledge topics they should go into the Howtos section and be indexed with an FAQ sticky.

I'm also not a fan of stickies but with a thread posted once a week would quickly drop off the top page.
We could do a main thread titled: "DUF thread of the week" that links to the weekly thread titled: "DUF best of threads, week: YYYY-MM-DD". This way the main sticky thread could also serve as an index and linker to the current and all of the prior threads.

Re: [Discussion] Best threads of the week....
Most of the threads I am speaking of are in the HowTo section. We can do both.
I think we had talked about a sticky thread for threads here of the most asked questions, in application we are doing all of these things separately though concurrently toward the same goal. So it works

Absolutely. We always called it FDN previously and I encourage to continue that.

Haha I think of it and have all directories for the forums as FDN. I did DUF using my speaking non internal voice.
FDN is fine.
If we move forward with it or test the idea I think a dummy account like the beginners guide account would be ideal, in the same vein multiple members could manage the account and threads.

Re: [Discussion] Best threads of the week....
Back in the day I did a separate "best of" subforum and moved threads in there once a week. Not exactly suggesting, just commenting
we see things not as they are, but as we are.

I created the account a few moments ago.
I suggest:
Users should also be able to suggest threads, after all this about all of us spotting a great thread right? @Best_Threads in a thread so that the person controlling the account can see he mention.
I suggest:

Bump for anyone who is able to assist with finding the best threads to post on the account, I've been busy and have neglected this.
