Debian 11 - Intel AX200 - uplink dropping on Wifi6

#1 Post by megagolgoth »

Hi,

I have an Intel AX200 wifi card, and on somehow crowded meeting room (around 80 people), with APs who's doing Wifi6/AX, I'm loosing the connection (for ex. a continuous ping stopped). After taking a look with "iw", I could see the speed uplink dropping after 2 to 3 minutes.

I tried to update the firmware and the kernel (5.xxx to 6.0.xxx) with the backport repo, and the same things happen. I'm suspecting a problem with the driver (iwlwifi) or the firmware.

I'm able to reproduce the problem with Ubuntu, who also have the right flags on the kernel to do debug stuff (https://wireless.wiki.kernel.org/en/use ... /debugging). I could do the debug stuff, but I'm now not sure what to do with the log harvested...

Is someone got this problem ?

It's not easy to reproduce because I need a room with minimum 80 equipments connected to an Wifi6/AX AP...

Hi,

Sorry for the delay:

Code: Select all

deb http://deb.debian.org/debian bullseye main contrib non-free
# deb-src http://deb.debian.org/debian bullseye main contrib non-free

deb http://deb.debian.org/debian-security/ bullseye-security main contrib non-free
# deb-src http://deb.debian.org/debian-security/ bullseye-security main contrib non-free

deb http://deb.debian.org/debian bullseye-updates main contrib non-free
# deb-src http://deb.debian.org/debian bullseye-updates main contrib non-free

deb http://deb.debian.org/debian bullseye-backports main contrib non-free
# deb-src http://deb.debian.org/debian bullseye-backports main contrib non-free
As you may understand, for getting and posting the log, I have to wait for the right moment. It's not everyday that the room is full...
