Good afternoon all,
Firstly apologies if this is in the wrong section, but I didn't really see a section for using the live-build tools. Secondly this question does relate more to a kali Linux build then a pure Debian build. However as Kali is based on Debian and they use the same live-build tools I was hoping I could get help here as I have had no help from their forums.
P.S. I use pure Debian for my own servers and desktop OS so feel just as welcome here anyway.
Anyway my issue is I am trying to build a live image of their OS and include my own deb package file and used their instructions here. https://www.kali.org/docs/development/d ... ive-build/ specifically 0x06
The issue I have however is I can see the deb file is moved to config/packages or config/packages.chroot but does not seem to be added to the live image or even the installed image. I know they use a wrapper script to run lb etc but feel this may be an issue with the lb script itself rather then their script hence I am also asking for help here and if anyone can advise if im doing something wrong or if it is actually broken.
Thanks in advance, and please dont be too hard on me for asking here
