And so, it begins.

Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. Three times is enemy action. Four times is Official GNOME Policy.

Re: [Discussion] So ... how much storage do you have?
I neglected to include my backup NAS, made with salvaged hardware, some of it over 10 years old now.
It's the same setup as my main server (Bullseye, Mergerfs & SnapRAID), but significantly less storage. It has an 11TB usable array once again pooled with mergerfs & protected with SnapRAID.
These then are the individual drives. The above pool consists of the drives mounted on the /mediaX directories. It's another total of 15TB with 11TB usuable.
Once again, this is the SnapRAID output for more information:
Can I get my own total in the OP updated?

I feel like I was standing on the top of the Mountain and some goat walked calmly over to me and punched me in the stomach.
TWICE.
Thread updated.
Yeah, I know. I'm trying to keep this family friendly but what in the absolute @*#^!# is going on here, @Bloom? This is ludicrous *@#@%$!!.
@Zoot Let's go half on an array and setup something distributed. This is absolute #@(&@$!.
Typo perfectionish.

Re: [Discussion] So ... how much storage do you have?
Just to be clear: this is my personal storage solution and I'm not a company. If you're wondering why I need so much space, keep in mind that high-resolution video takes up a lot of room...
Re: [Discussion] So ... how much storage do you have?
This is my current overview. Five storage servers and the fifth has three open slots (currently marked damaged) for which I have three 18 TB hdds ready. The two last 8 TB discs (marked 7,3 TiB) have been marked for removal because I'm phasing them out: they will be replaced by 18 TB discs.

Petition to ban @Bloom. This is insanity.
I think at this point we all get the participation ribbon and they pick whatever image they want.

Re: [Discussion] So ... how much storage do you have?
I got penalized for having three identical 2TB drives. I'm pretty anal about backups
we see things not as they are, but as we are.

Re: [Discussion] So ... how much storage do you have?
Going to have to talk to management about this.
Corrected. I thought it was an array.wizard10000 wrote: ↑2023-03-20 17:27 I got penalized for having three identical 2TB drives. I'm pretty anal about backups

Kali GNU/Linux 2023.1 on a Lenovo N23 Chromebook that I'm using to post this:
