[Off-Topic] What icons did old Ubuntu use and where can I get them?
[Off-Topic] What icons did old Ubuntu use and where can I get them?
My first experience with Linux was somewhere around Ubuntu 14 or a bit earlier, and I'm trying to figure out what icons they used so I can add a little bit of that flavor to my desktop. They look like the Obsidian icons, but slightly different. Does anybody know?
Also, if anybody knows some GTK themes matching the above that aren't broken by Gnome being Gnome then I would love to hear about those too. Currently I use the KvAmbience style for Kvantum/qt5 and it's quite nice.

I wouldn't necessarily think they are icons by Ubuntu but more likely by Gnome itself at that version.
In any event, you could start by looking here: https://old-releases.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ ... -symbolic/

Hmm, the gnome-icon-theme ones look like what's being used in the sidebar, but I can't seem to find those orange folders in the screenshot.cds60601 wrote: ↑2023-06-01 22:28 I wouldn't necessarily think they are icons by Ubuntu but more likely by Gnome itself at that version.
