Stuck on 20.04 cause my machine really hates 22.04 for whatever reason. Hopefully 24.04 will be good.

Kali GNU/Linux 2023.2 with Fluxbox. I've been using it as a daily driver 2 years now and it's become the only OS I use.

Trying out Debian & Debian-based live openbox desktops in QEMU/KVM (Arch host running sway):

Image

Clockwise from top-right: BunsenLabs Beryllium, Debian bookworm LXDE, CrunchBang++ 12, deadbang 12.0 (Debian bookworm pure blend, alpha version). Not sure why LXDE is getting the time wrong, I set tzdata the same in all four :?

QEMU invocation:

Code: Select all

qemu-system-x86_64 \
   -enable-kvm \
   -m 8G \
   -cpu host \
   -audiodev alsa,id=alsa \
   -device intel-hda \
   -display sdl,gl=on \
   -device virtio-vga-gl \
   -cdrom name_of_image.iso \
   -boot d
Jeder nach seinen Fähigkeiten, jedem nach seinen Bedürfnissen.
