Problem with Google drive mount

#1 Post by klairm »

Hello, so I mount my google drive unit in debian so I can backup my homeworks, however I wanna make a symbolic link in Documents to the google drive folder since I have homework in netbeans for java exercises and I usually save it on Documents, the only problem when I create a symlink with ln -s is that the names of the google drive folders doesn't show correctly in documents, they show like: y232kvas347dfh, a random combination of characters, any ideas how to solve this? Using Debian 12 GNOME

Can you report the output of the command:

Code: Select all

ls -la
for the symbolic link ?

Hello klairm!
The working solution is to use
Settings -> Online Account -> Google: https://i.ibb.co/cNMB53D/Screenshot-fro ... -54-28.png.

Late to the party, but I use Google Drive and enable Work Offline. I access Google Drive through Google Chrome.
