Hello everyone
I've been faced with a tricky situation since I joined a company that uses Linux PCs exclusively, which represents a major change for me. My current challenge is to implement customer relationship management software, in this case Simple CRM, which we were previously using in a Windows, Mac and Chromebook environment. You can find out more about Simple CRM here
One of Simple CRM's key features is the creation of pre-configured e-mails in Thunderbird, which is a significant time-saver. This feature is clearly detailed on their website, available at this address: link to the relevant page. I had successfully implemented it in my previous job.
However, I'm currently encountering a major problem under Linux, where this feature doesn't seem to work. According to Simple CRM support, it's a problem of associating the 'mailto' protocol with the right e-mail software.
Our systems mainly run on Ubuntu, Xubuntu and Mint. If you have any suggestions or avenues to explore to solve this 'mailto' protocol association problem under Linux, I'd be extremely grateful for any help you could give me. Your expertise would be of great value to me.
Thank you very much for your attention and for any assistance you can provide.

Re: [Installation] LINUX CRM
Protocol handler association is up to the application involved (i.e. your web browser and/or desktop environment, whatever you are clicking the mailto: link in), this is not specific to Debian or even GNU/Linux in general.Witt78 wrote: 2023-09-21 19:32If you have any suggestions or avenues to explore to solve this 'mailto' protocol association problem under Linux, I'd be extremely grateful
You haven't told us what those are.
The rest of your post reads like an advert, blind copy-paste, or AI generated nonsense. It's irrelevant and could just as well have been left out.
Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. Three times is enemy action. Four times is Official GNOME Policy.
