[Software] Repeated key inputs

#1 Post by mersses »

In some cases when I use my keyboard, some duplicate keys are getting sent if i press them fairly fast (not crazy fast) or at the same time, for example if i try to press "cer" it outputs "cecer", I tried disabling repeating keys both in the settings and the console, and it didn't help. I don't know what to do. I use Debian 12 bookworm KDE Plasma.

Can you test it by another hardware keyboard?

Sorry for the wait, this problem is still there on a different keyboard.

Hello,

Can you please report:
  • complete hardware and software configuration (you can use the inxi program)
  • the type of connection used by the keyboard (USB ? Bluetooth ? PS/2 ? other ?)
  • does keys repetition occur in text virtual consoles (i.e. you activate with ALT CTRL F1) or only with KDE application ?

At least XFCE has a setting how long must a key be pressed when it has detected as duplicate or more presses.
