Super Fast Tool (Loads benchmark data once)
Responsive (Can be used on PC, Tablets, Phones)

Hint - To see the benchmarks of one cpu type
Go to "Bench Compare" and select "Please Select" (top one) for selector 2 and 3 - It will now show the first selectors results.

So it's hardinfo but with more features?
It honestly looks really strange, it's constantly flashing images on their front page, there's no information about what it is, who they are, or what they/it are doing, then there's broken english that doesn't make sense.
Is that a continuation of the hardinfo package? Did that stop being maintained?
Clickbait? Malware? Alarm!

This post is an advertisement for a software fork of a legitimate active project(hardinfo)
that appears to be malicious in depth.(Malware)
Recommending the members of debian to avoid the links in this advertisement entirely, and to avoid searching for websites related to it because they are also likely to be malicious.
They are posting here on debian forums for a good reason, because debian has a limited range of software, and specific kinds of users, they are targeting.
So again, I am recommending that the members of debian take the first proactive step granted the basic facts we can clearly identify. They are targeting users of debian objectively, we are users of debian, so do not follow the links that this advertisement has posted here.
(I have also reported it here, and someone should also report it on github, I don't have an account there)

Hardinfo is not an active project.Linuxgaming1824 wrote: ↑2024-04-17 21:53 This post is an advertisement for a software fork of a legitimate active project(hardinfo)

Do you have a specific find to report?
...or just a feeling.
at this point hardinfo has been removed from testing without a replacement candidate.

Oh false alarm, it looks like a legitimate project after investigating it further.

https://github.com/hardinfo2/hardinfo2This repository is being decomissioned and will remain as a personal archive of HardInfo source code. The development continues in the @hardinfo2/hardinfo2 repository. This branch will soon become a mirror of the main branch from the hardinfo2 repository.
Probably has something to do with the constant daily malicious harassment it sets off alarm bells after all.Hardinfo2 is based on hardinfo, which has not been released >10 years. Hardinfo2 is the reboot that was needed.
Hardinfo2 offers System Information and Benchmark for Linux Systems. It is able to obtain information from both hardware and basic software. It can benchmark your system and compare to other machines online.
