Laptop microphone not working after restart (Dell XPS 9315) (Bookworm)
Hey, just installed Debian Bookworm on my laptop (Dell XPS 9315). The built-in mic worked fine when I booted into it at first, but after restarting it no longer does. It still shows up in my devices, it just detects no input. Restarting again doesn't work, and reinstalling led to the same issue. Any advice on how to fix this?

Is the microphone digital? You might need to select the digital microphone option in pavucontrol and the analogue option for speakers. Install pavucontrol if you don't have it and investigate what options are available.
