I preordered a Framework 16 which should be arriving some time soon, and I'm going to run Debian + KDE on it. Framework have official Linux support and worked with AMD to fix several bugs. Framework's official Linux support is only Fedora and Ubuntu, but most of the fixes are kernel fixes that help all Linux distros run better on their laptops. A lot of the fixes are only in kernel 6.6, so I'll have to either run stable + backports kernel, or testing.

I have a mid-tier Chromebook from 2020/2021 that I installed Debian on through the chrultrabook docs. What I like the most about it is that it feels more sleek/modern than a lot of Windows PC's out there and costs a fraction of the price. I've been using Chromebooks as an inexpensive alternative for about a decade, so their keyboards feel natural to me, but if you're coming from Windows, I'd imagine it would be an adjustment in some areas. It was working perfectly up until recently when I did some hardening recommendations from lynis and it has been freezing more often lately. Overall I'd recommend it if you're a tinkerer, a current Chromebook user, or aesthetics & price are both mutually important

I have a 2015 Acer E5-574T with Debian 12. It didn't install with UEFI and I couldn't fix it. The touchpad and sound broke, but reinstalling Debian fixed them.
