How do you calculate your IPv6 ranges?

#1 Post by donald »

Most of us may, at this point, have an IPv6 block allotment of /64.

How do you segment your network?
Online tools? If so which?

Do you do the conversion in your head? Whats your method?
Typo perfectionish.

But a kid I am, no more.

Seriously, I have no need for IPv6. IPv4 works, still, and even though it may have some issues, they have not been a concern for me. Maybe when it gains popularity I'll have to do something, but I suspect there are a few billion out there just like me - sitting on the fence waiting for someone else to make the move. That said, I haven't turned it off.

A word or warning there, if your ISP also has it turned on, then all your machines could possibly be publicly accessible.

This is the reason I disable IPv6 on my home machines since NAT66 isn't an option here.
we see things not as they are, but as we are.

I use my fingers and toes. After that, I pull in the digits of a few random folks where ever I am.
Even a cat or two.
