Have a question and requesting some help. Would like to install
Debian 12 server on a pcengines apu3 board that uses a serial port
rather than a grahpics interface. Have installed the serial
interface using and old pc running minicom with success but the
install program (usb install program) hangs when selecting a drive
(on the apu3 board) to perform the install. It consistently only allows
install on the usb only that carries the install program and does not
allow the boards msata 120G drive to be the selected install target.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Debian12 Install on Pcengines APU3
Hello,
Disclaimer: I have never installed Debian on this board.
Are you asking how to get the internal MSATA drive recognised at install time?
Have you installed the type of mSATA recommended by the manufacturer? There is this interesting annotation in the link above:

Search the Debian Wiki, here is some general documentation: Note: moved to "Hardware" sub-forum.Note: mSATA and miniPCI express slots look exactly the same, but the SSD will only work in a mSATA slot. Please read the friendly board manual...
Re: Debian12 Install on Pcengines APU3
Thanks to all for your suggestions but I have found the problem. I mounted the msata 120G drive in the wrong socket on the apu3d4 board. Moving it to the socket closest to the serial plug solved the problem and install proceeded normally with the console=ttyS0,112500n8.
