Change GDM3 Theme In Debian 12?

I actually want to just change the GDM3 user name list colors, but from what little information there seems to how to do this in Ubuntu... I need change the default theme? Many references for other distributions reference a GDM css file? No luck find that in Debian 12?

I would assume you would need to create the css file.
As to the contents, no idea, I don't use a greeter myself.

Easiest way is to download the appimage and run it:

We use this to add Juliette Taka's emerald theme (!) to gdm3 which should have been included in the first place

Gdm-settings has now been added to the Sid repo but there is a bug that stopped it from working (appeared to be a packaging problem--failed dependency on libglib2.0-dev). The was a proposed solution:

Wow, shortly after I posted this message, this problem got solved! ! ! (but I still needed to install libglib2.0-dev)

Ed.: This is actually a little bit more complicated than what I described above and has a lot to do with the fluid nature of Sid. Please disregard the above comments for now just in case anyone is interested in this issue. Looks like everything is working OK now
