Debian Bookworkworm box with Nvidia 4090 installed on mobo, egpu with nvidia 3060 installed and verified active with boltctl. Both cards display in lspci

nvidia-smi only displays the 4090 and nothing for the 3060
both cards were visible/working once upon a time with a different distro (Kali)
How can I get the 3060 back in the mix to give some relief to my 4090?
