Which laptop do YOU run Debian on?
Re: Which laptop do YOU run Debian on?
Running MX LInux with Debian 12.7 (Bookworm) on a Lenovo W550s laptop (2015 model). I believe Lenovo makes their business laptops and some consumer laptops very compatible to linux and the variants, and I also run the same release on a desktop (iBuyPower desktop, Core i9-12900KF, 32 GB RAM, m.2 nvram SSD, two wifi adapters, compatible with linux).

Re: Which laptop do YOU run Debian on?
Currently running Debian 12.7 (Bookworm) on a 2014 Intel MacBook Pro 15". Once Windows 10 sunsets I'll be installing Debian 12.x (13.x?) onto my HP Spectre x360 - 13-aw0xxx laptop.
Re: Which laptop do YOU run Debian on?
Hi bassplayer69, Any chance that your MacBook Pro 15" will also be upgraded to the next Debian release ? I have a MacBook Pro mid-2015 15" one and have Debian 12.5 (Bookworm) there.bassplayer69 wrote: 2024-11-06 07:29 Currently running Debian 12.7 (Bookworm) on a 2014 Intel MacBook Pro 15". As stated earlier (post #40 or #41), my Lenovo W550s has the Debian 12.7 release too, but I am also running it on a desktop (iBuyPower Core i9-12900KF), which is the main OS and release.

Re: Which laptop do YOU run Debian on?
Hi everyone..
Running Debian12 with cinnamon desktop on my Acer chromebook R11 c5b-132t everything working great now.
Its a small ,light laptop for everyday use with long lasting battery.
tried out a lot of distros that did not work well with this cb. Had sound issues on all of them.
beeping sound after a few minutes that is now gone.
Had to change keyboard layout to get all keys working.

Re: Which laptop do YOU run Debian on?
I've just switched to Debian 12.8 on my 2011(ish) Lenovo Thinkpad T430. Core i5 (2 cores, 4 threads at 2.9 GHz), upgraded last year to 16 GB RAM (maxed), Intel graphics. Coming to the end of ability to buy usable batteries and the one extended and one slice battery I have are down to 50% or less "health" so might be time to shop for a replacement, unless I can find someplace that will replace cells in the slice...

Re: Which laptop do YOU run Debian on?
An ASUS 900a, from 2008. I run Debian Testing (Trixie), which I update daily. It's not a high-power host (see below). I don't use a DE (nor on my Raspberry Pi 4B -- my desktop "daily driver"), preferring the SLiM login manager and JWM window manager.
