[Solved] Mirror selection fails installation

#1 Post by questlinq »

Hi,

Installation for both - Debian 12 and Testing stops at "mirror selection". It just hangs and installation doesn't move forward.
I'm using "net install" for my server needs.

Do you thing that problem might be about NIC and firmware packages in the initramfs.
I've tried to add additional firmware to .ISO medium that was made with "dd" command, but it fails to be added?

Have you tried inspecting the logs?

It could be.

What is the manufacturer and model of your computer?

What is your network adapter?

Can you connect to the network using an ethernet cable (wired)?

You can access the running log using the virtual terminal #4 (press ALT+F4 if in text mode, otherwise CTRL+ALT+F4 if in graphic mode).

You can also look here: You can also go to a virtual terminal (i.e. #2 with ALT+F2), open a shell and read the /var/log/installer log.

Hope this helps.

Thank you, I just installed additional firmware for NICs. Now it works.
