[Software] i2cdetect does not show battery address

#1 Post by krasnorutsky »

Hi

i2cdetect -l shows several i2c connected devices. Device i2c-0 and i2c-1 are "pmu 2" and "pmu 1" respectively.
I suggest that at least one of them is the Powerbook battery.
But "i2cdetect -y 0" and "i2cdetect -y 1" did not show any addresses. I see only -- -- -- --.
(But "i2detect -y 5" shows a single address of laptop display that I successfully used to obtain the display model via i2cdump)
I am sure that the system is downloading data from the battery (Power Manager app shows the actual charge of the battery).
So the battery is connected via i2c for sure.

How to obtain the address of the Powerbook battery?

My system: xfce/Debian jessie/powerbook g4 17`` 2005
