My reflection is it's hard to read the post with the $ signs all over it.

That being said good for them. If they can monetize it to compete with Google then that's a touch hill to climb. I doubt it will be as good as Google though. They have to much of a head start.

Microsoft has Bing as a competing search engine and it has been for years. So what is this about?

DDG might not be the treasure trove of info as Google, but I'm not a scientist or needing info about obscure and or super technical things, it'll do me,

I think that let the big boys play and the rest of us reap the benefits of all their advances and developments in competition with one another.

reminiscent of M$ waiting two plus years behind everyone else to jump on the internet bandwagon, then coming up with a really really lousy browser and IP stack for PCs, and all their stupid customers actually believing M$ created the internet.
