KDE Dolphin file manager on Gnome

#1 Post by MedricCedric »

Hi

I love gnome except the bog standard Files application which I find terrible.

I love dolphin as it gives you a terminal at bottom and looks a million times nicer.

Only thing is I can't see how to enable one click opening of files in Dolphin in Gnome.

Is there a way to do this?

In KDE/Plasma selecting one click or double click in in System Settings > Workspace Behaviour. But you don't have that option.

However, I used to use Dolphin in MATE and the option was there in File Management > Behaviour. I can't test on GNOME since I don't have a GNOME desktop on any system here, but, from memory there is a similar option. I won't comment on my opinion of why you'd want to use it.

Same in openbox for pcmanfm. system-settings->workspace-behaviour...I think.

I was mistaken. It's an option in the filemanger, under preferences.
